DAY 01           This ride begins at an altitude of 2828 meters in Paucarbamba, where our hacienda is located. After mounting our horses, we cross the Vilcanota river over a suspension bridge and continue through the middle of an eucalyptus forest where you will be able to see one of the biggest Inka cementeries located at the side of the flat valley path.

After passing the town of Yanahuara, we cross the supension bridge of Tarabamba, which is also the location of the checkpoint we will have to pass to continue climbing to the complex of salt mines from the time of the Inkas.

After visiting the complex of big salt pans and eating our first lunch there, we ride up to the mountain until we arrive at the small and remarkable indigenous village of Misminay, where we will spend the night at a local home.

DAY 02           The view that Misminay offers us early in the morning, is truly phenomenal. You can see most of the snow covered mountains of the Sacred Valley, all the farmland of Maras, and eagles and falcons soaring against an amazing background.

After eating breakfast, we will have a shorth hike to to observe the Inka laboratory of “Moray” and understand there how was the process to adapt that many plants that grew just along the coast or Amazon were abble to grom on the Andes; after this hike, we will start the second day ride. This ride is longer than the one on the first day, and leads across the large fields of barley and Eucaliptus forest áreas. Along the morning ride, we will cross different andean villages where it will be posible to observe the local life system.

After to cross the highest point for this ride, we begin to descent untill  to arrive to the heart of a eucaliptus forest área located near to “Chaquepay” community where we expect to take the lunch.

After the lunch time we continue descending untill arriving to “Huarocondo” Colonial comunity, Zurite Inka agricultura complex and cross all the wide of the “Anta” flat área untill to arrive to “Inquillpata” village where is located the next overnight place.

Day 03

This ride will begin at 3334 meters of elevation. All this flat area was an old lake that now looks dry.

Following a not bussy motor way we will ride up to the next mountain untill arrive to the top, where is located one of the most important places to celebrate ceremonies in the Pre inka times by the “K´ILLKE” civilization, there it will be posible to observe many pottery pieces that were part of the funeral elements that were used to burry with their mummies.

The secenary view since this point will be spectacular not only to the down valley but also to see the snow mountains like “Chicón” and “Verónica”.

The second part of the ride is to the Rocky mountain área located just 45 minutes far from the thombs and it will be there where we expect to have our Lunch.

This area was used in old times by the first people that were hunting deers, pumas, rock squirels, etc. And after the presence of the spaniels, this rocky scenary was used by the rustlers from the area,  they  used some of the sacred rocky passage to hide the horses, mules or cows for some days and then send them to other far places.

After to walk and discover this nice area, we ride back down the the valley where our team will be waiting for us to take the dinner and spend there our last night.

DAY 04           After breakfast on the third day, we will cross the flat área for last time to ride up to the next mountains on the way back to our beginning point, but we will stop for the lunch to the side of an old catholic church build in XVI century located in “Huaylla Qocha” community.

During the afternoon ride we pass through two of the principal watter reservories for iirigation adn as well for human comsumtion located just before to arrive to Mahuaypampa community and then Maras, a traditional Andean village where the people used to make their doorways out of stone with some heraldic drawings and the year in which the house was constructed.

Just after passing the town of Maras, we start our downhill ride along a narrow trail that goes towards the flat valley, until we arrive at the viewpoint of Paucarbamba.

The last part of the ride we will take a wide downhill path that will guide us back to our Hacienda.
